$CAPT just started
Put another way, a poor income statement can’t rescue a slightly improved balance sheet. Just the opposite.
In their mandatory efforts to cut fat, seems to me some muscle is being sacrificed. Troubling sales numbers continue. Competition remains brutal. With certain stocks doing so well this year, AAP might experience tax loss selling between now and EOY.
$AAP heavy 2025 call volume interest and market pump will continue until AAP is $45+ and then settles around $50 by Friday
A turnaround of the magnitude being attempted takes YEARS to accomplish. And that’s assuming it’s successful. They’re shedding assets because they have to, not because they want to. Meanwhile, their supply chain inefficiencies remain, with only a pledge to improve - but not a plan that I’ve read. If Earnings exp are simply met, it might create a short-lived dead cat bounce in shares - bc sentiment is so low. Another earnings miss could easily send this one into a death spiral. $ much more easily made with considerably less risk, elsewhere. Full disclosure: I own and have owned longer term puts on the stock.

Good thing I sold! Will get back in with a better position. Still like this stock.
Really good strength here! Lets see where we go in the next month
Looking at $AAP, I see great strength at this current price level. If you look at the all time chart, we are at a triple bottom. Even if we go lower on earnings it should recover quickly.
I got in at $68.99 with my swing trading strategy so I can handle the wiggle room we have here. Only if the stock crashes 25% or something will we have a big problem with $AAP. So we should see $100 at some point. Lots of strength here.
