First South Bancorp, Inc. operates as the bank holding company for First South Bank, a chartered bank that provides commercial banking services in North Carolina. The companys deposit products include checking accounts, money market accounts, statement savings accounts, individual retirement accounts, and certificates of deposit. It also offers loan products comprising single-family residential and multi-family residential loans; residential and commercial construction loans; commercial real estate loans; commercial and industrial business loans; and consumer loans, such as automobile, cash secured, home equity, and other consumer loans, as well as loans secured by first and second mortgages on owner-occupied single-family residences. In addition, the company provides securities brokerage services. As of December 31, 2016, it operated 30 full service banking offices and a loan administrative office located in eastern and central North Carolina. First South Bancorp, Inc. was founded in 1902 and is headquartered in Washington, North Carolina.
