The company explores for gold, uranium, silver, and copper deposits. It holds interest in CSA copper mine located in New South Wales, Sydney; Eva copper project, an iron oxide-copper gold resource with 16 exploration tenements located in Northwest Queensland, Australia; and Hidden Valley and Papua New Guinea projects situated in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. In addition, the company has nine underground mines in Doornkop, Kusasalethu, Mponeng, and Savuka in Gauteng; Kalgold, Mine Waste Solutions, and Moab Khotsong in Northwest, South Africa; and Central Plant Reclamation, Joel, Masimong, Phoenix, Target 1, Tshepong North, and Tshepong South in Free State, South Africa. Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited was incorporated in 1950 and is based in Randfontein, South Africa.
