The fund employs as its investment strategy a program of investing in derivative instruments, which primarily consist of index swaps, futures contracts, and options on securities, securities indices, and futures contracts. The U.S. Dollar Index® measures the performance of the U.S. dollar against a basket of foreign currencies that include the Euro, Japanese Yen, British Pound, Canadian Dollar, Swedish Krona and Swiss Franc.
