$RDS-A. If Shell can get away from the Dutch tax structure, it will help their stock. Third Point pushing them out of their fat comfort zone is a good thing. Keep it up.
$RDS-A, I remember when the stock was $24 and everybody was screaming Oil is dead. And $TSLA was blowing up and thus EV was going to take over tomorrow…I laughed and I was oh so right.
Demand is exploding, new policies are restricting supply, big Oil delayed upstream projects, frackers are showing discipline, shortage of lithium, no EV infrastructure, wind turbines froze during Texas freeze, Developing nations have returned to fossil fuels, and OPEC and OPEC+ are run by countries that are dictatorships that run on Oil—and they are greedy and evil. But somehow Oil is doomed tomorrow. Ufb.
$RDS-A. Last year, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez rejoiced at the news that U.S crude oil prices had dropped into negative territory earlier this week, tweeting “You absolutely love to see it.”
That didn’t age well.
$RDS-A. Final lesson for the day.
Street gas prices are higher, and will keep going higher, dip a little, then stay high. They are not directly correlated to price of Oil. In fact, when Spot drops, Retail stations float price down SLOWLY, as they make their highest margin then. Thus street prices are controlled by independent businesses with their own separate break even.
11 Analysts have this as a 1.7, where 1 is a “Strong Buy,” and 2 is “Buy.”
$RDS-A. See Greenies, when you shut down exploration, refuse to let companies share seismic data (they have to shoot their own), shut down federal lands, impose carbon restrictions, all without an EV infrastructure, Oil will go up to meet pent up demand. Big time.
Where are the AOC clones who were gloating when Oil was briefly negative?! Those idiots know zilch about demand side Economics.
$RDS-A. Yup, fossil fuels are doomed dude! LOL. Green is good but it’ll take DECADES. Sorry Greenies, take some environmental or geology classes instead of transhuman acceptance gender studies and you’ll learn how integrated fossil fuels are in your day to day. From plastics in your car, rayon in shirts, to lipstick. Oh, and developing nations use fossil fuels exclusively. Shell will win the Dutch court appeal because it’s overbroad, and the world uses almost 100,000,000 barrels a day of oil. Just saying.
$RDS-A. If Shell sells the Permian, they will get a sweet price, and then reduce debt. Permian is only 6% of their upstream, and unlike other players, they don’t have the best acreage. It’s not the prime central area. So my bet is they sell it, pay down debt, buy more green companies, greenies will rejoice, stock rises.
$RDS-A. The US government has spent the past week assessing a report of a leak at a Chinese nuclear power plant, after a French company that part owns and helps operate it warned of an "imminent radiological threat," according to US officials and documents reviewed by CNN.
I just love China, now we may have a nuclear incident that they’ll hide. Nuclear is scaring people back to Oil and renewables. Oil is coming back, and so is Shell stock.
$RDS-A. Goldman Sachs has reiterated its forecast that Brent crude will hit $80 per barrel this summer as demand quickly recovers.
"Rising vaccination rates are leading to higher mobility in the U.S. and Europe, with global demand estimated up 1.5 mb/d (million barrels per day) in the last month to 96.5 mb/d," the investment bank said in a note as quoted by Reuters.
$RDS-A. Solar stocks taking a hit. This green energy is a great idea, but if you think you can jump from ICE to EV, skipping hybrids, infrastructure, power plants, and other countries dropping green initiatives, you probably are on a college campus somewhere drinking a Starbucks out of your recyclable mug, completely clueless about how hard it will be to wean the world off its 100 million barrel of Oil a day habit.
“China will stop subsidizing new solar farm projects, distributed solar projects for commercial users, and onshore wind farms as soon as this year, Reuters reported, citing the central planning authority of the country.”
