Ebanga is specifically approved to treat only the Zaire ebolavirus species, whereas the ongoing 2026 epidemic in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda is caused by the Bundibugyo virus strain, for which there are no licensed treatments or vaccines. Why Ebanga Fails Against the Current OutbreakStrain Mismatch: Ebanga uses a monoclonal antibody targeted strictly at the Zaire species glycoprotein. It cannot recognize or neutralize the Bundibugyo strain.Current Pathogen: The 2026 public health emergency involves the Bundibugyo virus (BDBV).Available Options: Existing licensed countermeasures like Ebanga and Inmazeb are ineffective against this specific strain, leaving health organizations reliant primarily on supportive care and investigational protocols evaluated by the World Health Organization.

EBS has a 10 year right to manufacture EBANGA and EBOLA has only started its up tick in the Congo. Does anyone know if they can use this to help the Congo get over the outbreak?

I have been using Alfred Thomson trading signals for a year now and I can't believe how profitable they are. I never would have thought that the predictions generated by his trading signals were so accurate. That downside is that the price can be a little steep for those on a tight budget, but if you're going to invest in any signals, this one is the best! I was flipping through Yahoo news and I read just now… “New York state reports 1st human case of EEE in nearly a decade.”

Guess who makes the vaccine????

Could it be the tiny mosquito of all things that saves this stock price and puts it where it should be (20 bucks!!!)

Emergent BioSolutions is a life sciences company in Gaithersburg, Maryland that received a commercialization license from the National Institute of Health (NIAID) to advance the development of a vaccine for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). The vaccine is called WEVEE and is being developed to protect against multiple mosquito-borne viruses.

Does anyone know why EBS sold (to Bavarian Nordic of all companies) in February 15,2023 Vivotif® for the prevention of typhoid fever and Vaxchora® against cholera as well as a Phase 3 vaccine candidate for the prevention of Chikungunya? I know they got a ton of money from BN but why give up the tech? Now the news is stating Bavarian Nordic might partner with another company. Also JYNNEOS by BN is less effective than ACAM2000 by EBS so why wouldn’t the WHO want EBS to be the provider?

Emergent BioSolutions Inc. (EBS) stock has shown a significant upward trend recently, driven by a combination of positive developments. The company’s stock surged by 57% following the announcement of strong Q1 2024 earnings, where it exceeded expectations in both earnings per share (EPS) and revenue. Specifically, EBS reported a revenue of $300.4 million, which was a remarkable 83% increase year-over-year and well above the anticipated $220.25 million .

Additionally, the FDA’s recent approval of Emergent BioSolutions’ smallpox vaccine, ACAM2000, for expanded use against Mpox (previously known as monkeypox) has further bolstered investor confidence. This approval, coming at a time when Mpox cases are rising globally, positions EBS favorably in the market .

These factors suggest that EBS stock is likely to continue its upward momentum, supported by strong financial performance and strategic product approvals. Investors should keep an eye on future earnings reports and any further regulatory developments, as these will be key in sustaining the stock’s growth trajectory.
