AMD, Microsoft expand Azure partnership around Helios AI racks, EPYC CPUs and Pensando networking

Microsoft will deploy AMD's Helios Rackscale Solution on Azure for frontier-model inference, Azure AI services and customer AI applications.
AMD said it will begin shipping Helios to customers, including Microsoft (MSFT), in 2H26; the platform combines MI455X GPUs, 6th Gen EPYC Venice CPUs, Pensando networking and ROCm software.
Azure will also add two new VM series powered by 6th Gen AMD EPYC Venice processors and broaden Pensando DPU deployments for networking services.
