The company was formerly known as Gores Holdings, Inc. and changed its name to Hostess Brands, Inc. in November 2016. Hostess Brands, Inc. was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. As of November 7, 2023, Hostess Brands, Inc. operates as a subsidiary of The J. M. Smucker Company.
