Astoria Financial Corporation operates as the holding company for Astoria Bank that provides various financial products and services to individuals and businesses. The company accepts various deposit products, including negotiable order of withdrawal and demand deposit accounts, money market accounts, passbook and statement savings accounts, and certificates of deposit. It also offers multi-family and commercial real estate mortgage loans, and residential mortgage loans; consumer and other loans, such as home equity lines of credit, overdraft protection, lines of credit, and passbook loans; and commercial and industrial loans comprising secured lines of credit, equipment loans, letters of credit, and term loans. In addition, the company provides life insurance agency services; automated teller machine services; and telephone, Internet, and mobile banking services. The company operates through 88 full-service banking offices in New York. Astoria Financial Corporation was founded in 1888 and is headquartered in Lake Success, New York.
