Palo Alto Networks is in talks to buy Israeli AI security firm Clutch Security for ~$500M to boost non-human identity protection.
Palo Alto Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:PANW) is reportedly in talks to acquire Israeli cybersecurity startup Clutch Security for about $500 million.
The deal would mark Palo Alto Networks’ fifth acquisition announced in 2026 if finalized, The Information reported Thursday.
However, talks remain at an early stage, and a deal is not guaranteed.
Palo Alto Networks Eyes AI Security Expansion
Founded in 2023, Clutch Security focuses on protecting non-human identities. These include service accounts, API keys, authentication tokens and credentials used by autonomous AI agents.
Its platform helps businesses identify security risks, manage access permissions, protect credentials and detect suspicious activity.
The potential deal would expand Palo Alto Networks’ identity security business following its $25 billion acquisition of CyberArk in February 2026.
It could also strengthen the company’s ability to protect enterprise systems as businesses increasingly adopt autonomous AI agents.
Clutch Security has raised more than $20 million from investors, including Lightspeed Venture Partners and SignalFire.
