IONQ was sitting on a lot of Cash. Now IONQ is investing short term cash they know isn't immediately needed.
IONQ short term investment of cash will bring about $13 million in revenue for 2023.
Short-term investments $348,435,000.
At 4% interest = $13.9 million.
Plus, long-term investments of $150 million. Compared to interest income for 2022 that will be approximately $6 to $7 million.
IONQ is conserving cash thru R & D of Product.
"For the full year 2022, IonQ is reiterating the previously stated revenue outlook range of $10.2 million to $10.7 million."
"IonQ is maintaining its previously stated bookings range of $23 million to $27 million for the full year 2022."
Bookings translate to 2023 - 2024 Revenues. Potential growth rate looks like it could be 50%.
"IonQ notes that United States government investment in quantum information science R&D nearly doubled from 2019 to 2022, going from a reported $449 million to a requested $877 million."
I expect some of the United States government investment in quantum information science R&D to end up at IONQ…]
