Helport AI stock jumps 55% after-hours Tuesday as it advances autonomous AI labor in fintech.

Helport AI Ltd (NASDAQ:HPAI) shares rose 55.20% to $0.37 in after-hours trading Tuesday after the company announced progress in moving an established Southeast Asian fintech customer from AI-assisted business process outsourcing toward autonomous AI labor.

Helport AI describes itself as a global artificial intelligence workforce infrastructure company providing intelligent communication software and services to enterprise clients.

AI Labor Transition Details

The company said it is expanding the use of autonomous AI systems in debt-collection operations that have relied on a mix of AI technology and human agents. It is targeting deployment of approximately 300 AI Workforce units for this single customer by the end of November 2026, and said the transition is expected to continue beyond that date.

The customer currently generates approximately $200,000 in monthly revenue for Helport AI, the company said. Under the autonomous model, AI systems would handle customer outreach, communication, negotiation, follow-up and record-keeping, subject to compliance oversight and exception handling. The company said it believes the shift has the potential to reduce labor-related costs and support higher gross margins over time.

Helport AI also said its AI Labor has shown favorable results compared with human-operated teams in selected debt-collection scenarios, and that performance may vary by portfolio and operating conditions.

"Our progress in Southeast Asia reflects an important step in the evolution of our business from AI-assisted operations toward autonomous AI Labor," said CEO Guanghai Li. He added that the company’s immediate focus is on expanding deployment and strengthening operational performance.

Targets, Not Commitments

Helport AI said the 300-unit figure applies only to this customer and is not a contractual commitment or guaranteed deployment volume. Actual timing and scale will depend on customer requirements, operational readiness and performance, it said. The company also said its AI Labor business uses a predominantly performance-based settlement model that links revenue to customer outcomes.
