In the meantime, however, conditions are extremely favorable for an outright acquisition by Brookfield.
Of course, with said spinoff, existing notes would be move to the Bank of England, for more favorable terms, if not handled as a direct loan.
I have even considered the possibility of a new mall footprint, that includes brick and mortar internet storefronts (aka Amazon, for instance). We are entering a new economy and business is poised to be a partner helping make that happen. I have entertained the idea of a spinoff merger between said holding company, Brookfield, and CBL. It would include an expansion of the existing properties.
Mark’s input regarding potential buyouts will weigh heavily. Even though he heads the ESG section, he will continually look for ways to grow the company, especially in the area of real state / REITs.
Note Mark’s objectives (specifically with regards to REAL ESTATE):
Bruce Flatt, Brookfield’s chief executive officer, said in an interview he expects the new ESG group could eventually grow to the size of its real estate, infrastructure, and private equity businesses. Carney will be instrumental in that expansion because of his strong relationships with sovereign wealth funds and his range of business experience, Flatt said.
What the hell. Here is another clue. Note the speakers. One of them is telhe NEW CEO for Brookfield! ;)
