Applied Digital Stock Rises With Data Center Peers
Applied Digital shares are climbing about 10% Tuesday, and the move looks like part of a group rally. Similar stocks rose together: SharonAI Holdings gained 13.6%, Boost Run 9.1%, Backblaze 8.1%, Rackspace Technology 6.4% and Csquare 6.7%.
The jump follows a rough stretch. The stock has slipped approximately 8% over five days and 29% over the past month. It has lost around 47% over six months, sliding from $50.73 in late May to about $16.16 on Nov. 2.
Concerns about borrowing and building costs have weighed on AI infrastructure names since late October. Nicholas Mugalli, a market commentator, warned that steeper fines for late data centers could sink neocloud companies carrying heavy debt, even though appetite for AI computing continues.
Elon Musk had also said lenders had all but stopped funding companies that lack big revenue streams beyond AI data centers.
Applied Digital Stock Technical Read: A Bounce in a Larger Downtrend
The stock trades at around $17.70, which is about 65% below its May peak of $50.73. Tuesday’s gain reads as an attempt to rebound, not a confirmed change in trend. The stock sits beneath all three major moving averages (20-, 50- and 200-day), and the 50-day line is beneath the 200-day line.
Support sits at $17.50, and a close beneath it would surrender the advance. A move above $20.08, the 20-day average, would do more to mend the chart.
APLD Shares Are Popping
APLD Price Action: Applied Digital shares were up 9.86% at $17.82 at the time of publication on Tuesday, according to Benzinga Pro.
