With all the negativity surrounding commodities ETFs and the CFTC's voracious desire to regulate these products, the ETF Professor took note of Jefferies' (NYSE: JEF) launched of two more commodities ETFs that focus on equities not futures and other risky fare. Jefferies introduced the Jefferies | TR/J CRB Global Commodity Equity Index Fund (NYSE: CRBQ) last month and is following that ETF up with the Jefferies | TR/J CRB Global Agriculture Equity Index Fund and the Jefferies | TR/J CRB Global Industrial Metals Equity Index Fund, which began trading today. Both funds will have a 0.65% expense ratio. The Agriculture Equity Index ETF focus on ag stocks like Monsanto (NYSE: MON) and Deere (NYSE: DE) and is most readily compared to the Market Vectors Agribusiness ETF (NYSE: MOO). The Metals ETF holds stocks like Vale (NYSE: VALE) and Freeport-McMoRan (NYSE: FCX) and is comparable to the iShares S&P Global Materials Index Fund (NYSE: MXI).
