Provident Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE:PFS) ("Provident"), the parent company of Provident Bank, and Lakeland Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ:LBAI) ("Lakeland"), the parent company of Lakeland Bank, today announced the receipt of their respective stockholder and shareholder approvals in connection with the proposed merger of Lakeland with and into Provident.
The closing of the proposed merger remains subject to regulatory approvals and certain other customary closing conditions.
