Here is the ETF Professor's ETF Watch List for Wednesday May 5, 2010.
The one emerging markets ETF that was up on Tuesday was the iShares MSCI Thailand Investable Market Index (NYSE: THD).
On the other hand, the iShares MSCI Brazil Index (NYSE: EWZ) was thrashed, losing more than 5%. The iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index (NYSE: EEM) was another big loser, dropping 4.6%.
With volatility back, take a look at the iShares S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (NYSE: VXX).
The PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish ETF (NYSE: UUP) is obviously worth watching in this environment.
For an inverse play on the broader market, try the ProShares UltraShort S&P 500 ETF (NYSE: SDS).
The UltraShort FTSE/Xinhua China25 Proshares ETF (NYSE: FXP) is another inverse play worth trading.
The UltraShort Basic Materials ProShares ETF (NYSE: SMN) should be on your watch list.
