ETFs issued by Charles Schwab (NYSE: SCHW) have proven fairly popular with investors in just a few months on the market. Schwab's first four ETFs came to market in November and the firm introduced two more in December and two more in January.
The first four Schwab ETFs -- the Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF (NYSE: SCHB), the Schwab U.S. Large-Cap ETF(NYSE: SCHX), the Schwab U.S. Small-Cap ETF (NYSE: SCHA) and the Schwab International Equity ETF (NYSE: SCHF) were launched Nov. 3, 2009. The Schwab U.S. Large-Cap Growth ETF (NYSE: SCHG) and the Schwab U.S. Large-Cap Value ETF (NYSE: SCHV) were launched on Dec. 11, 2009. The Schwab Emerging Markets Equity ETF(NYSE: SCHE) and the Schwab International Small-Cap Equity ETF (NYSE: SCHC) began trading on Jan. 14, 2010, according to a statement issued by Schwab.
The robust inflows may have been helped by Schwab offering commission free trades on its ETFs to Schwab clients. That offer is for online trades for account holders with balances of $1,000 or higher.
