Christopher Zook of CAZ Investment suggested on CNBC's Fast Money that investors should short commercial real estate stocks. He has a short position on Vanguard REIT ETF (NYSE: VNQ). Simon Property Group, Inc (NYSE: SPG), Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE: VNO) and Public Storage (NYSE: PSA) are among VNQ's largest holdings. If you agree with Christopher Zook you could also look at iShares FTSE NAREIT Ind/Off Capp (ETF) (NYSE: FIO) or SPDR DJ Wilshire REIT (ETF) (NYSE: RWR). FIO has the biggest exposure in Boston Properties, Inc. (NYSE: BXP) and ProLogis (NYSE: PLD), while RWR's biggest holding is Simon Property Group, Inc (SPG). Another interesting ETF that could be used is ProShares UltraShort Real Estate (ETF) (NYSE: SRS). This ETF is the most liquid among the ETFs mentioned in this article.
