Research, data and corrections
Use the numbers with their context: where they come from, when they were observed, and what they can and cannot answer.
Who publishes the research
Finabase Research is the publishing identity for Finabase Learn and the site's original research. Articles provide explanations, worked examples and source links. The named publishing organization is not a claim that an independent analyst has reviewed every quote or that the examples are investment recommendations.
Market data and timestamps
Finabase combines stored quotes, company fundamentals, news and other market data. Providers and refresh intervals vary by instrument and dataset. A last-trade timestamp describes the quote; a reporting-period date describes a financial statement. Neither means every field on the page was updated at that instant.
Prices can be delayed, and a page may serve cached data between refreshes. Outside market hours, the latest regular-session quote can be from a previous trading day. Missing values are unavailable observations, not zero. Check the currency, period, units and adjustment basis before comparing figures.
Primary sources and revisions
Company filings, issuer announcements, fund disclosures and the relevant exchange or regulator are the authority for their original disclosures. Aggregated financial data can be restated, normalized or reported on a different basis. Use the source links in Learn articles and the company or fund's own documents to verify a decision-critical number.
Examples and original studies
Named securities illustrate a concept or workflow. Inclusion is not a ranking, recommendation or model portfolio. Original datasets describe their universe, timestamps, formulas, missing-data rules and limitations on the dataset page. A live snapshot is not a historical study, and a historical relationship does not establish a forecast or causal effect.
When citing a changing dataset, save its download and record the session date, methodology version, access date and canonical page URL. A download of derived statistics does not grant redistribution rights to an underlying provider feed.
How to report an error
Send feedback with the page URL, symbol or article title, the field or passage in question, the date you observed it and a link to the primary source when available. Do not include account passwords or other secrets. For a quote issue, include its displayed timestamp and currency so the observation can be compared on the same basis.
Article update and review dates are shown on each guide. Product changes are listed in the public changelog. A source refresh, an editorial review and a product release are separate events.
