He probably meant over $3.20

Even without a BO, MGI will be fine. It is WU that needs to be worried. With ODL, MGI will expand its business and grow its revenue.
-
With the momentum that MGI is generating, what is the advantage of selling at single digit price? Stock price will appreciate greatly once MGI turns the corner and start to make money.

MoneyGram to offer eWallet services in UAE https://seekingalpha.com/news/3586275

Even if there is no BO (still think stockholders will be better served if MGI is not sold unless there is a blowout BO price by WU), doubt the price will drop much.
-
What I meant is MGI will not and should not sell to WU.
-
MGI won’t sell. In two years, stockholders will be rewarded handsomely when the company reduces debts, increase profit margins than accepting a lowball BO price from WU.
-
MGI total debt $877 mil, WU total debt $3.07 bil.
The point is all companies carry debts. Stock value of MGI is depressed because it is currently not a profitable company. But its prospect is certainly bright with all the new partnerships and growth in digital businesses. Not surprised in 1-2 years, MGI will be worth $50-80 a share. -
$7.81 offer price! Probably BS.
